SalsaFrenzy Boston Forum

The SalsaFrenzy Boston forum is a mailing list and a web forum ( & groups.yahoo.com/group/salsafrenzy-boston/) for communal exchange of news and views of interest to Boston's Salsa music and dance scene. To join and be able to post, send an empty message to Before posting to the forum, please read and observe the following Forum Guidelines. If you post contrary to the guidelines, you jeopardize your posting privileges.

The SalsaFrenzy Boston Forum is for:

  1. Salsa dancers to discuss any aspect of the Salsa scene, whether comments about local events, dance tips, questions, recommendations, opinions, etc.

  2. Salsa instructors to announce their class schedules in the Boston area.

  3. Salsa event organizers, DJs, and bands to publicize their Salsa activities in the Boston area.

  4. SalsaFrenzy to post its weekly Update. This goes out as a "special notice" so you have the option of only receiving that.

Forum Posting Guidelines:

  1. Do not post off topic messages. This list is about Salsa - as music, dance and community in the Boston area. Your first post to the forum is moderated. After that you can post freely within the guidelines.

  2. Constructive criticism is permitted. Personal attacks are not.

  3. Avoid excessive capitalization. SHOUTING is as rude on-line as it is in person. This is a pet peeve of ours. You shout = you're out.

  4. Additional Guidelines for Salsa instructors, event organizers, DJs, and bands: You are welcome to post and promote your events on the SalsaFrenzy Forum, however you must follow these additional guidelines:

    1. Keep your posts "on topic", which means about Salsa music and/or dance. Using this forum to announce non-Salsa events is not permitted. While many SalsaFrenzy members appreciate and participate in a variety of non-Salsa music and dance activities, this is not the forum to advertise them.

    2. Do not post more than once a week. For example, do not post on Monday your class schedule, and on Thursday a special workshop. If you typically send out more than one message to your constituency per week, consolidate your messages into a single email and post that on the SalsaFrenzy Forum.

    3. Keep your posts brief. SalsaFrenzy readers expect the facts and useful information.

    4. Do not subscribe the SalsaFrenzy Boston Forum ( ) to your mailing list. If you do, there is a probability that you'll end up posting something contrary to this forum's guidelines (off topic, more than once a week, etc.) and you'll lose further access to the SalsaFrenzy Forum. In other words, always write directly to this list.
